Parenting as an obligation towards children is a responsibility that is exceptionally demanding. The weekly injuries, the everyday tantrums, the customary fights and the complicated ‘growing up’ all tend to make child-care quite a painstaking task. But for those who have experienced the first step or the first word of their child, have answered millions of questions for theirs kids and continue to shower them with unconditional love, being eternally compassionate and considerate about children always seems to be worth it.

But there has got to be a guide somewhere that can help us be better parents at home or better teachers in the classroom - a guide that could simplify technical concepts that psychologists, educationists and child-care specialists are always talking about.

Nurture is a biannual magazine on parenting, early learning and better childhood care and development. One of the flagship publications of the Releasing Confidence & Creativity: An ECD Programme, Nurture is available free of cost for readers in Pakistan. It is widely distributed and is a very popular publication – one of the only ones in Pakistan exclusively dedicated to early childhood development.

Nurture also has an Urdu version titled ‘Parwarish’. This edition was launched to reach out to more readers in all parts of the country. You can read more about all the related publications, resources and the programme under which Nurture is published on www.ecdpak.com.

This website, a recently launched one, has been developed to give our online readers access to the articles that we have been generating and publishing over the years. Feel free to browse through all the sections and be sure to get back to us with feedback on how we can improve this website.

The Nurture team,
